Roll Your Own
Roll Your Own also referred to as Mexican Stud is a Seven Card Stud game. The way this game works is players are allowed to select which cards they will show the other players at the table while at the same time leaving three cards face down and the other four cards face up.
How to Play Roll Your Own
To begin each player will need to ante if they want to play the hand. The dealer will then deal each player three cards face down. The dealer will than count to three and each player will select one of the three cards to turn face up. From here a betting round will take place by the player who holds the highest ranked card showing.
The dealer will then proceed to deal an additional card to each player, again face down, and again each player will be able to select which card they will turn over once the deal has finished. A betting round will start by the player who is showing the best hand comprised of the two cards showing face up. If a player has not been able to make a pair with the two cards dealt, then they will use the two highest cards.
This will continue until each player has a total of six cards and have undergone four rounds of betting. Player’s hands should now be made up of four up cards and two down cards. The dealer will deal each player their final card face down. Another betting round will take place and the player with the best five card hand using either up or down cards wins the pot.
