PokerStars Sunday October 23rd 2011 Tournament Report

October 24th, 2011 Poker Articles

PokerStars was running a special promotion last weekend called “Double Vision Sundays”, but this week the action was back to normal at PokerStars. There was still a ton of money up for grabs at PokerStars this past Sunday and several players ended up making 6-figures. There we’re a couple deals that we’re going to take a look at in the major tournaments at PokerStars including a two-way deal in the PokerStars Sunday Million. Make sure you check out the MTT’s at PokerStars next Sunday so you can try and win a share of the $2M+ up for grabs in the Sunday Majors.

PokerStars Sunday Million

• Entrants – 6585 / Prize Pool – $1,317,000

Over 6500 poker players participated in the Sunday Million at PokerStars this past weekend. The final two players cut a deal and each player ended up taking home over $150K. Spyver won the Sunday Million after the deal was made and Spyver ended up winning a grand total of $190K for 1st place. GoldenOne306 came close to taking down the event this weekend, but ended up falling just short. GoldenOne306 finished in 2nd place and won just under $160K while Agovque69 finished in 3rd place and took home a prize of just over $105K.

PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up

• Entrants – 3395 / Prize Pool – $679,000

The Sunday Warm-Up at PokerStars has been doing great lately and going well over the $500K guarantee. This past weekend nearly 3400 players took part in the event and the prize pool fell just short of $700,000. The top 3 players ended up agreeing upon a deal in the Sunday Warm-Up this week although only one player could finish on top. After the deal was made the event was finished and 1st place ended up going to Casey Jarzabek, which was worth $83K. TTycho won $82K for finishing in 2nd place and 4betUr3bet won $77K for finishing in 3rd place in the Sunday Warm-Up due to the deal.

PokerStars Sunday 500

• Entrants – 712 / Prize Pool – $356,000

The toughest MTT that’s held on a weekly basis is the PokerStars Sunday 500. The playing field is incredibly talented each week and it’s difficult making the money let alone the final table in this tournament. Dean Price won the Sunday 500 this week and took home the 1st place prize of $64K. Alexander Petersen won $46K for finishing in 2nd place and Run dat Game won $34K for earning a 3rd place finish. There was no deal in the PokerStars Sunday 500 this weekend, but that’s usually the case in this event of online poker heavyweights.

PokerStars Bigger $55

• Entrants – 5323 / Prize Pool – $266,150

The PokerStars Bigger $55 is a great event and this weekend there was a familiar name near the top of the leaderboard. There was no deal in the tournament this weekend, which meant that Pampa27 got to keep the full 1st place prize of $41K. 2nd place ended up going to Andrew Lichtenberger and he won $31K to add to his massive poker bankroll. NF2AB won $21K for finishing the Bigger $55 in 3rd place this weekend.
