Monday, July 4th, 2011

We’ve been reporting about many of the problems that Full Tilt Poker has faced since Black Friday and it just got a lot worse this week for the online poker room. The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) announced on June 29th 2011 that Full Tilt just had its gambling license suspended. Full Tilt Poker was Read more…

PokerStars Sunday June 12th 2011 Tournament Report

Tuesday, June 14th, 2011

PokerStars tournaments were packed this weekend and none of the majors had an overlay. Seeing the prize pools spiking back to normal levels is a great sign and hopefully the traffic numbers can be maintained. A total of four players ended up making over $100,000 this weekend at PokerStars and that was also a good Read more…

FullTiltPoker June 12th 2011 Tournament Report

Tuesday, June 14th, 2011

Plenty of players were apart of a deal in the majors at PokerStars this past weekend, but only one small deal was made in the majors at Full Tilt Poker. There were no overlays at Full Tilt this week, but the $750K Guarantee almost had an overlay and that’s not a great sign heading into the summer months where many players will me taking vacations. Now is a great time to start playing in the majors at Full Tilt and if you can’t afford the buy-in you can still earn a seat by playing in 1 of the 100′s of satellites held every week in the online poker room.

PokerStars Sunday May 29th 2011 Tournament Report

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

I expected PokerStars to fill up the seats in the regularly scheduled tournaments this past Sunday, but that simply wasn’t the case and it’s not a great sign. The PokerStars SCOOP Series has been over for over a week now and I didn’t think there would be any overlays in the tournaments this weekend, but Read more…

FullTiltPoker Sunday May 29th 2011 Tournament Report

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

Full Tilt Poker was back to normal this weekend and they had a great turnout. The playing fields in the Full Tilt tourneys were a bit smaller than PokerStars tournaments, but there were no overlays at Full Tilt Poker. One thing I like about the major events at Full Tilt is the fact that some of them have small buy-ins that anyone can afford. Two of the tournaments at Full Tilt Poker had a deal, but the $750K Guarantee didn’t end with any deal being made.

Full Tilt Poker May 23rd 2011 Tournament Report

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

Full Tilt Poker finished up Mini-FTOPS XX this past weekend and tons of poker players participated in the tournaments. There was even an overlay in the Full Tilt $750K Guarantee this past Sunday, as many people played in the Mini-FTOPS XX. There were several six-figure winners on Sunday at Full Tilt Poker and the action was great. Now that Mini-FTOPS XX is over I expect the rest of the regularly scheduled tournaments to be very active this coming weekend.

PokerStars May 23rd 2011 Tournament Report

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

The SCOOP at PokerStars ended this weekend and there were several massive tournaments including the SCOOP Main Event. There weren’t many other tournaments running on Sunday that usually run at PokerStars, but if you managed to enter the Sunday 500 or Sunday 2nd Chance there were overlays. Now that SCOOP is over I’m sure there Read more…

Ivan Freitez Secures Victory at 2011 EPT Grand Final

Thursday, May 19th, 2011

The 2011 European Poker Tour Grand Final was held in Madrid, Spain at the Casino Grand Madrid. Many people were expecting the number of players in the EPT Grand Final to be smaller than last year and they definitely were. About 850 players competed in the tournament last year, but this year there were only Read more…

FullTiltPoker Sunday May 15, 2011 Tournament Report

Thursday, May 19th, 2011

Full Tilt Poker was buzzing with activity again this weekend and it seems that they’ve been able to bounce back nicely since the aftermath of Black Friday. Even with the Mini-FTOPS XX running, Full Tilt was still able to offer most of the guaranteed prize pool tournaments. There was millions of dollars up for grabs at Full Tilt Poker over the past weekend and several players went home with a 6-figure prize from a single day of playing online poker MTT’s.
