Burn The Biffell

This game is pretty interesting because players who think they have the hand often end up losing by the final card. It is played similar to Iron Cross.

How to Play Burn the Biffel

Each player will need to ante a nominal amount prior to receiving any cards. The dealer will begin by dealing each player four cards face down, followed by 2 rows of 5 cards each face down. Once this has been done the first player to the left of the dealer will begin the betting round with each player taking a turn of checking, calling or raising.

Once the 1st betting round is complete the dealer will then flip over the first card in the first row ( good cards) followed by the first card in the second row ( bad cards) Players who have one of the equally ranked cards in the bottom row will discard that card from their hand and place it in the middle. A betting round will take place followed by the dealer repeating the same process.

This will continue until the 5th and final card whereby the dealer will turn up the last good card. Unlike the previous rounds where players were able to see both the good and bad cards, they will only see the good one first then bet. Once betting is complete then the final card will be exposed. Another betting round will take place followed by a showdown. The player with the best 5 card hand using 2 hole cards and 3 community cards from the "good row" wins

What makes this game interesting and allows for big pots is the final card which can ultimately kill your hand.

Variations - If you want to increase the level of difficulty in this game you can give each player three cards instead of four and add a kill card. To determine which card will be a kill card fairly, allow the player to the left of the dealer to cut the deck. Take the top card off the deck and lay it back on the table face down. Do not allow any player including yourself to see what the kill card is till the end of the game.
