Isildur1 Agrees to Compete at Party Poker Big Game IV

April 5th, 2010

Just a few days ago, poker pro Tony G invited the mystery poker pro Isiludr1 to compete in the Party Poker Big Game IV. Tony G offered to pay for everything just so Isildur1 would compete. Isidlur1 could even keep his identity a secret. Now Party Poker has confirmed that Isildur1 has accepted the challenge.

Tony G stated that he would pay for transportation, hotel expenses and the tournament buy-in just so Isildur1 would come and Tony G could see how he plays live. Isildur1 is known as the amazing mystery player who competes at the high stakes tables at Full Tilt Poker.

The only thing known about the mystery poker player is that he is from Sweden that is it. Rumors have surfaced as to who he may be but we really have no proof as to his identity. So the invitation kind of proposed a problem. To keep Isildur1 happy, Tony G and Eddie Hearn stated that Isildur1 could wear a mask to keep his identity a secret so he would remain anonymous.

Eddie Hearn Managing Director of Matchroom Sport said: “It was important to me that Isildur1 made his first major TV appearance on one of our shows. Tony and I have worked hard to ensure this happened and we are delighted to welcome him to The PartyPoker Big Game IV. Even without an identity, Isildur1 has become the biggest name in poker within six months of high stakes online action. Quite simply, this will be the most hotly anticipated poker show of all time.”

So Isildur1 has accepted to compete in the event. We do not know if he is going to appear on the game with or without a mask. It will definitely be interesting to see what decision he makes. I’m sure everyone is dying to know who the poker pro really is…so we will just have to wait and see.
