The mini version of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series, miniFTOPS is in full swing and players are already reaping the rewards. The first event of the smaller scale FTOPS took place on December 9th with a $20 NO Limit Hold’em 6-max event. 

The first tournament of the miniFTOPS had a total guaranteed prize pool of $250,000 but with just over sixteen thousand players competing the prize pool swelled to $334,000. The tournament was very tough and it would take several hours before the last player would be left standing. In the end it was online player dbfia who managed to outlast the giant field and take home the first place prize of $40k.

Event #2 of the miniFTOPS was a 7-Game 6-Max event with a buy-in of $20 plus $2. This tournament offered a guaranteed prize pool of $30,000 but with almost 3,000 players competing the tournament ended up offering just over $56,000. 

Even with a smaller field, this FullTiltPoker.net tournament was still pretty tough for those involved. After play whittled down to just two players, it would be online players djcarib1984 and Praetoriani who would be competing for the first place prize of just over $11,000. Both would play hard but only one could finish on top and that would be djcarib1984. After both going all in, Praetoriani just wouldn’t have the cards to get the first place win.

The miniFTOPS continues this week and will continue until the twentieth of December which is when the last event, the main event will be held. Players can participate in any event they choose as the miniFTOPS has small buy-ins which is affordable.
