Poker Pros Enjoying High Stakes Action at Full Tilt
Sep 29, 2009

Poker pros have been taking to the felt at Full Tilt Poker as of late and many are taking some considerable hits to their bankroll. The high stakes tables at Full Tilt have been full of poker pros such as David Benyamine and Tom Dwan, both who have lost a good bit of money.

David Benyamine has not been having a good few weeks and has experienced small wins and losses against online poker player OMGClayAiken and many others. However Benyamine recently lost $750,000 which is a good hit to the pocket book. The majority of the loss came on Sunday at the Pot Limit Omaha tables at Full Tilt.

Full Tilt PokerBenyamine lost $573,000 and then the rest came when he was playing a $500/$1,000 NLHE game. Another large loss that OMGClayAiken was a part of involved Tom Dwan. OMGClayAiken, otherwise known as Phil Galfond, was playing at the $500/$1,000 NLHE tables with other players when Dwan took a seat.

Galfond, Tom ‘kingsofcards’ Marchese and Dwan began competing at the same table. Surprisingly it took Dwan a short amount of time to lose his whole stack of chips which was worth $99,000. Dwan was at the table just long enough to get to the button for the second time before he lost his entire chip stack. Marchese rivered a straight and took the pot. Marchese would end the weekend with a profit of $350,000.

All in all, the weekend brought some serious game play between the poker pros. The pros either had a great weekend or didn’t but they sure made it exciting for us who only sit at the lower limit tables. Oh to have the bankroll of a pro!
