Gus Hansen Pulls Big Win
Jan 25, 2010

Full Tilt PokerLast year was not a good year for Full Tilt Poker pro Gus Hansen. Gus ended losing a lot of money last year at Full Tilt Poker so this year Hansen has already set to the tables at Full Tilt to try and have a better year. So far this month Hansen’s progress has been up and down but he recently was able to pull down a big pot worth more than $590,000.

In the process of winning such a big pot, Hansen played against several regulars at Full Tilt. Ilari Sahamies was part of the action that took place just a few days ago. Sahamies played 877 hands and won just over $440,000 in the process.

Cole South, a fellow Full Tilt Poker pro, was also in on the action. South played just 252 hands but he earned more than $300,000 in the process. South has been playing quite well and has become one of the more stable players online today.

Other Full Tilt Poker pros were also involved in the action. Di ‘Urindanger’ Dang earned $245,000, Brian Townsend earned $168,000, Patrik Antonius and FakeSky earned $132,000 and David Oppenheim earned $114,000.

Even though so many poker pros got in on the action and won a good size amount of cash, some were not so lucky. The biggest hit was to PixKim who lost just over $600,000. Next up was Tom Dwan who lost more than $500,000. Dwan has been suffering as of late at the high stakes tables and this is just another bad blow.

Brian Hastings lost $285,000 while thecranium lost $215,000. There were several other losing players as well who dropped six figures though they managed to stay in the hundred thousand. It will be interesting to see if this large win by Hansen will able him to stay on top or if he will suffer another losing streak.
