Rumors have been floating around online that Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan could be signing with Full Tilt Poker very soon. Dwan is known for playing high stakes games at Full Tilt and he is one of the best online players around. Now rumors have surfaced that actor Mekhi Phifer is joining the Full Tilt Team.

Howard Lederer stated in an interview recently that Dwan would most likely be signed to Full Tilt and he felt it was just a matter of both coming to an agreement. But now the rumors have shifted to Mekhi Phifer joining Full Tilt as the latest Red Pro.

Phifer is a thirty four year old actor from New York and is best known for his role in 8 Mile, which he co-starred in with rapper Eminem. Phifer is also known for his role on ER as Dr Gregory Pratt. But Phifer is not only known for his acting career. He has seen great success in the game of poker as well.

Phifer won the Celebrity Poker Showdown Championship in 2004 and has been a regular face at the Ante Up for Africa events. He also played in the Main Event of the WSOP and has played in WPT events to support the Love Our Children USA Charity. Phifer was also seen recently competing in the Mini FTOPS tournaments.

As of today the Full Tilt website does not list Mekhi Phifer as a friend of FullTiltPoker but posts on poker forum 2+2 state he is confirmed as a Red Pro and will get his avatar soon. It will be interesting to see if he is listed on the site as a member in the upcoming days or if this is yet just another rumor.
