Full Tilt Poker Signs Annette Obrestad
May 03, 2010
Full Tilt Poker recently announced a major signing to their online poker team. Annette Obrestad is the latest poker pro to sign with the big online poker room. This is a major move for the online poker room as Obrestad will be participating in her first World Series of Poker this year.

Obrestad will be participating in the World Series of Poker main event while representing the poker room but first she will be hosting the Main Event of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series. The FTOPS main event will have a buy-in of $640 and will guarantee at least $3 million in prize money. Players will get their first glimpse of Annette as a Full Tilt Pro at the event.
Annette’s win at the 2007 WSOP Europe Main Event propelled her to the fore front of poker as she broke Annie Duke’s record for a female pay day in poker tournament. Annette earned just over $2 million while Annie Duke previously had won $2 million.
Annette broke onto the poker scene with that win and she continued to compete online and in live tournaments, taking the poker industry by storm. She placed in EPT events as well as the Aussie Millions in 2009 and finished well in other major tournaments as well.
Her online play is also spectacular. She has won guaranteed tournament events at Full Tilt as well as events at Absolute Poker. She was captain of the Caesars Cup in 2009 and her team beat the Americas team 4-1 during the event.
The sponsorship deal is definitely a major move in both Annette’s poker career and for Full Tilt. Fans and poker players can view Annette’s new profile at the Team Full Tilt page at the poker room and those who would like to play against her will find her playing under the name Annette_15.
