Full Tilt Poker Offering Poker Packages to New Poker Show

Full Tilt Poker is sponsoring a new poker show called The Poker Lounge. This show will feature high stakes action as one online poker qualifier takes on five Full Tilt Poker pros for a winner take all prize of $120,000.

The show looks to be similar to Poker After Dark which airs on NBC. Full Tilt Poker is currently offering packages for players to appear on the show which are worth $22,000. The qualifiers will run until July 4th. Players can buy-in directly to the qualifiers for $640 or players can win their seat via a satellite for as low as $10. The first qualifier took place this past weekend and the other qualifiers are scheduled for April 11th, April 18th, April 25th, May 2nd, May 23rd, June 13th and July 4th.

Full Tilt PokerDuring each tournament, one $22,000 prize package will be given away. Each package pays for the $20,000 Poker Lounge buy-in plus $2,000 to pay for travel and other expenses. Those who try and qualify for the show must be at least 18 years of age and the filming of the show will begin on May 14th and 18th and then July 24th and the 25th.

Only two pros have been announced to participate as challengers in the competition and they are Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey. The show will air on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom on a weekly basis from June 21st to August 23rd. ten episodes are scheduled and will air on Monday nights. All filming of the show will take place in London.
