Full Tilt and Poker Gives to Host Charity Tournament

The online poker community is known for being very charitable. The sites use their popularity to help raise funds for various charities around the world. Millions of dollars have been raised to benefit people from all over the world due to charity poker tournaments and events. The latest charity tournament to take place comes from top online poker room Full Tilt.
Full Tilt Poker has teamed up with PokerGives.org to host special $5 plus $5 charity tournaments. Half of the tournament prize pool will go toward the prize pool while the other half of the buy-in will go to charity that PokerGives.org designates.
Several charities are supported by the PokerGives organization. Included are: Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Paralyzed Veterans of America, The Special Olympics and the Step By Step Foundation. PokerGives.org helps all of these charities as a nonprofit organization founded by Jan Fisher, Linda Johnson, Lisa Tenner and Mike Sexton.
To compete in the special tournaments players must log on to FullTiltPoker com and search for the tournament under the private tab. The event will take place on April 4th and to sign up players must enter the tournament password. The password is PokerNations. The tournament ID for those who want to use the search box is 137275439.
Prizes will be given away during the tournament to those who finish in the top positions. Some of the prizes include Blue Shark Optics sunglasses, six months coaching from Deuces Cracked, a year subscription to Bluff Magazine, books and gift certificates.
The tournament has seen players signing up to compete already and the tournament can only hold 1,800 players. So if you want to compete it would be best to go ahead and reserve a seat in the competition.
